40 Days of Dating

For those who aren't aware, a sensational experimental blog has been sweeping the nation called 40 Days of Dating. The blog was created by New York designers and friends Jessica Walsh and Timothy Goodman, and it chronicled 40 days in their lives as the two decided to date each other. Over time there were essays and vignettes showing how the experience between a serial monogamist (Walsh) and a philanderer (Goodman). Now the results will be brought to the big screen in the form of a film as Warner Bros. won a studio bidding war for the rights to the film with The Vow helmer Michael Sucsy directing.

In addition, Deadline reports Lorene Scafaria (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World) is writing the script, which will following the developing romance of these two friends that came with certain rules. Over the 40 days, the two had to date exclusively, see each other every day, go out on dates at least three times a week and take a weekend trip together, not to mention seeing a couples therapist. All of this has been revealed on the blog with provoking results, and the film deal began swirling before the 40 days were even finished (you can spoil the ending right here if you want). Hopefully it's more than a generic romance.
