Kids Reenact Best Picture Nominees

To hell with the Oscars, let's just watch these kids make more movies like this. BuzzFeed has released this adorably entertaining video from Kids Reenact creator Jared Neumark of Landline TV, which partnered with Official Comedy, to produce these quick segments featuring young kids starring in some of 2013's Best Picture nominees. There are some great tongue-in-cheek lines out of the mouths of babes that poke fun at Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained and Lincoln. Don't worry about seeing kids torturing each other or saying the n-word. It's a very kid-friendly production.

Here's the Kids Reenact 2013 Best Picture Oscar Nominees video, originally from BuzzFeed:

The best parts are when the kids ever so slightly flub the lines by saying a name or word wrong. But there's also some bits that only a kid could think of at the right moment. Newmark says, "They did a little bit of ad-lib in the Argo one. The line is 'Did people really dress like this in the 70s?' and they were just answering how they wanted to." Plus, the delivery of these lines is just perfect. Especially, the little girl as Mary Todd Lincoln when she goes crazy. And the subtitles make the kids acting all the more entertaining by spelling out their missteps like saying "think" and "fink" and more. This is a nice distraction leading up to the Oscars airing live on Sunday, February 24th at 7/6c on ABC with host Seth MacFarlane and your favorite stars.

The kids had so much fun doing the scenes. There were no exploitations David- it was plain fun- just like dress up in your own home. My children love seeing themselves online and I would only hope to see positive comments about these children and the industry.
