Amongst some fans of the MTV animated series Daria, there has been a call for a live-action adaptation with "Parks & Recreation" and Safety Not Guaranteed star Aubrey Plaza putting on the signature spectacles and green blazer. Now those dreams come true as College Humor has rounded up Plaza to star in a live-action trailer for Daria: High School Reunion, which also features other trademark characters like her best friend Jane and annoying sister Quinn. This trailer just might spark something at MTV, and maybe there's a chance a real live-action Daria movie could get off the ground at some point. Of course, this video is also meant to get more eyes on Plaza for her film The To-Do List, arriving this weekend. Watch it!
Here's Aubrey Plaza in the trailer for Daria: High School Reunion from College Humor:
The To-Do List follows the story of Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza), a Type-A, overachiever who comes up with a "to-do list" featuring all the risqué extra-curricular activities she missed out on in high school and wants to complete before college. Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Scott Porter, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele and Alia Shawkat all co-star in the film marking the feature writing and directorial debut of Maggie Carey ("Funny or Die Presents"). CBS Films is sending the raunchy comedy to theaters later this summer on July 26th. Funny?

WOHA, for a moment there I thought this was gonna happen 🙁 She would have been so perfect too! Used to watch the cartoons as a kid and they were really funny.. Oh well, I'll keep dreaming.

They got me until i notice that everybody is too old for the role. I know it's parody, but, even so

It's kind of shocking how since the 1970s, people stopped trying to grow up.

This girl was born to play this Role. To bad they didn't add in a live action Bevis and Butthead.

Eh. Didn't do it for me. It did however make me want to watch the show itself.

Didn't like it either. Just wasn't funny. And is it really too much to ask for a Maxx movie??

Actually, I just figured it out. Since this is a high school reunion they wouldn't be there. Those two would never graduate.

I dunno about that?Remember that the education system was very soft(as bad as it is now,it was softer back then)and allowed all students to graduate back then.

yeah, but you still have to show up, pick up your paper work, you know, put in any kind of effort. Beavis and Butthead probably skipped that to eat Nachos in a parking lot.
