Gather ’round if you've always wanted to work in production in Hollywood, this is a video for you. Avid, the makers of some of the best editing software around, have released a webinar video titled "Secrets from Inside Bad Robot", detailing the all-under-one-roof organization that allows filmmaker J.J. Abrams the ability to swiftly move from one area to another in post-production. As pointed out, TrekMovie (via AICN) has a breakdown of some Star Trek Into Darkness shots seen in this, but beyond that it's just cool to see the inner-workings of Bad Robot on camera. They've opened up quite a bit, allowing bloggers inside for a tour, though this video is mostly producer Ben Rosenblatt talking about what goes down behind closed doors.
Here's the Avid webinar entitled "Secrets from Inside Bad Robot", embedded straight from Avid.com:
Described on their website as a "webinar", it describes the video: "J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot has become one of Hollywood’s hottest production companies in a relatively short time. From TV hits (Revolution, Person of Interest, LOST) to blockbuster films (Mission Impossible—Ghost Protocol, Super 8, Star Trek), the award-winning company is known for creating compelling, thought-provoking stories. How do they do it? Join host Matt Feury, pro video marketing manager at Avid, and the editorial, audio, and VFX teams at Bad Robot for a discussion on the innovative workflows the teams created to help them commandeer the story and action at warp speed for the upcoming movie, Star Trek Into Darkness." Snazzy video, thank you Avid.

I've used Avid myself. Love it. Although I'd like to try Final Cut Pro at some point for comparison.
