Watch: Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor in 'Man of Steel 2' Fan Teaser

Man of Steel 2

Production isn't even slated to begin on Man of Steel 2 until 2014, with release schedule for July 17th, 2015, but with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck cast as Batman and Superman, fans are hungry to find out who will be playing presumed villain Lex Luthor. Names like Bryan Cranston and Mark Strong have surfaced as candidates (we have a list of our own suggestions here), and one fan has taken it upon himself to quickly assemble a teaser trailer for Zack Snyder's sequel with the "Breaking Bad" star in the iconic villain role (the story going around that he's actually cast is from an unsubstantiated source), not to mention strategic shots of Affleck as Bruce Wayne. It's a pretty damn enticing video, and gets us very excited. Watch!

Here's the cool fanmade Man of Steel 2 trailer from SoylentBrak1, found via Movies.com:

Man of Steel 2, which may be titled Batman vs. Superman, is directed by Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer, from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan and Wesley Coller serving as executive producers. Henry Cavill returns as Superman along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Ma Kent, while Ben Affleck is taking on the role of a new Batman, which the actor has crafted with Snyder. Production begins early in 2014 for a summer release on July 15th, 2015. Stay tuned for updates.

I don't see it. But Hans Zimmer is a god!

Umm it's already been confirmed that Bryan Cranston will be playing Lex Luthor. WB isn't making the official announcement until Breaking Bad reaches the end of it's series.

I also like the skeptics that think they know better than everyone else. Oh what a world we live in.

BinaryChaos on Aug 27, 2013

Yeah, the skeptics like everyone else who does this for a living and knows which sites to trust.

Ethan Anderton on Aug 27, 2013

You are pretty cocky for a guy that publishes on a website. Why don't you take the high road and quit coming off like a jerk. I respected you as a writer until now.

BinaryChaos on Aug 27, 2013

Calm your tits.

TJW on Aug 27, 2013

Tell that to Ethan Anderton he should be more professional than that since he's helping in running a website with his contributions. That was a very childish response and all he had to say was those are just false rumors but I'll make a post that confirms that rumor as being true. Now I have less respect you can't treat your readers like that.

BinaryChaos on Aug 27, 2013

Ethan was nothing but professional.

TJW on Aug 27, 2013

Then you have mental issues just like him.

BinaryChaos on Aug 27, 2013

Ban-hammer should maybe be under consideration here?

Chris Groves on Aug 27, 2013

you dont have to be mad, its only internet 🙂

Anon on Aug 27, 2013

I admire that from a guy behind a computer 🙂 Don't flatter yourself you assume too much as it is

Please, go away.

You said, "I also like the skeptics that think they know better than everyone else." And since I wrote in the article that the news comes from an unsubstantiated source, I'm looped in with that comment. So I felt the need to point out, with a bit of sarcasm, that plenty of professionals are skeptical of this news and know the source is not trusted. And now you're saying I have mental issues in the comments below. So thanks!

Ethan Anderton on Aug 27, 2013

I'm not here to disrespect contributors of this website my argument was directly to Anon not you Ethan Anderton and you decided to step right in which you didn't have to because maybe I didn't see that part of the article which is something that you should have taken into account since you clearly wrote it and you could have quickly corrected me on that but you decided to join the bandwagon with Anon coming off condescending. I clearly blame MYSELF on that part in not seeing that part of the article.

BinaryChaos on Aug 27, 2013

Fair enough. Miscommunication. Carry on.

Ethan Anderton on Aug 28, 2013

Confirmed by the same source that says Damon is Aqua Man and Affleck signed for 13 films?

Chiroptera Exsanguination on Aug 27, 2013

I don't know if the premise of Wayne Enterprise and Mr. Luthers co was in the comics or not, (I don't read them) but that's pretty awesome. Kudos to whoever made this vid. Cranston as Lex....I'm so there...here's to hoping!

Danimal on Aug 27, 2013

Isn't it released on July 17th, 2015? The end of the article says the 15th. Also GREAT teaser for something that was fan-made. Cranston would kill it as Lex Luthor.

Chris Groves on Aug 27, 2013

Well the real trailer has a lot to live up to. They best use the next 2 years wisely. Also comment section on this page was well entertaining. At that, everyone has bad days, no need to pile on

Richie G on Aug 27, 2013

Fucking Lex Luthor AGAIN?! Find another Superman villain.
