Over the weekend, the White House Correspondents' Dinner took place, and it's always a great spotlight for some satirical comedy. The event is an annual celebration for press who cover the White House and the President of the United States, and there's always some great show business highlights. This time Conan O'Brien served as the chief comedic entertainment, but Steven Spielberg also took the time to unveil his new presidential biopic to follow his Best Picture nominated Lincoln. This time Spielberg has set his sights on Barack Obama, and the transformation of the lead actor playing the president is stunning.
Here's the featurette for Steven Spielberg's Obama from The White House:
All right, so that's not actually Daniel Day-Lewis, but no matter what your political affiliation, this video is pretty amusing. It's nice to see the Commander in Chief poking fun at himself, including his trademark ears and speaking cadence in this little video that played at the WHCD. Plus, the fact that Spielberg took the time to make this is awesome as well. In all seriousness, no one would really be surprised if Daniel Day-Lewis actually pulled off the lead role of Barack Obama in a feature film about the first African-American President of the United Sates. Oh, and bonus points for Tracy Morgan as Joe Biden. Funny?

Is to. Except Tracy Morgan. I don't know why people find him so funny. I think he's really at the mercy of the scripts he gets, and everything broke right for him.

Sick of Hollywood types gong to hang out with the president. Guy has enough problems that he doesn't fix.

Funny. But it's sad how the system is set up so politicians have to seduce the public instead of doing what they are supposed to, serve it .

Well, if the whole president thing doesn't pan out, at least he has a second career as a comedian.
