Full 'Kill Your Darlings' Trailer with Daniel Radcliffe & Dane DeHaan
Venturing into the beatnik culture from decades ago, an stellar cast features Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg, Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac, Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr and Elizabeth Olsen as Edie Parker with Ben Foster as William Burroughs and Michael C. Hall as David Kammerer. The film from writer/director John Krokidas has the energy of The Social Network, but with a much darker emotional core. This writer said the film was "sharp, eloquently written, finely edited and comes together as a raw coming of age narrative," and it has some stellar performances from the entire cast. Watch the trailer now!
Here's the new trailer for John Krokidas' Kill Your Darlings, originally found via The Film Stage:
Kill Your Darlings is the feature directing debut of John Krokidas, a Yale and NYU film school graduate who also wrote the screenplay with Austin Bunn. An untold story of murder that brought together a young Allen Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe), Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William Burroughs (Ben Foster) at Columbia University in 1944, providing the spark that led to the birth of an entire generation. Elizabeth Olsen, Dane DeHaan, and Michael C. Hall also star in the film that first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival (read our review) and was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for limited release October 18th this fall. Anyone?

This actually doesn't look too bad, considering how wide of the mark "on the road" was, it simply could not be any worse.

I'd love this to be great, but judging from the trailer it just looks like a grittier version of "Dead Poets Society" (which I found to be a load of regurgitated kitsch, sue me).
