Machete Kills

After seeing Sofia Vergara show of her barrels on a poster for the sequel Machete Kills from director Robert Rodriguez, we knew this grindhouse follow-up was going to be another crazy bit of action nonsense starring Danny Trejo. Now we get a taste of the film with first teaser trailer, showing off the eclectic cast including the return of Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba, along with new cast members like William Sadler, Amber Heard, Demián Bichir and Charlie Sheen (or as he's listed in the trailer, Carlos Estevez). The trailer below has a Spanish intro and voiceover, but the dialogue is in English, so you know what's going on. We'll post the English version as soon as it's available. Watch now!

Here's the first teaser trailer for Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, originally from Yahoo:

And here's the domestic teaser trailer in English, for everyone who doesn't speak Spanish:

In the sequel Machete Kills, the seemingly invincible badass Mexican (Danny Trejo) is recruited by the U.S. government to help track down an arms dealer in Mexico who's looking to launch a weapon into space. The film from director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Spy Kids, The Faculty, Desperado) and writer Kyle Ward also features Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, William Sadler, Charlie Sheen, Demián Bichir and more. Open Road Films releases the sequel in theaters on September 13th . Excited?

I know that Charlie Sheen is a member of the Esteves acting clan, but is he normally billed as Carlos Esteves in Spanish-speaking countries?

brijazz012 on May 30, 2013

No, he's presented as Charlie Sheen. Never translated.

Looks awesome. Love his films or not, Rodriguez is the ideal filmmaker - makes the films he wants, when he wants. Not worried about box-office or critical success.

This is why Planet Terror was so rocking awesome.

Ok. cool!.. but why on earth is Lady Gaga in it!?!?! If i dont see it, its because of that.

Eyebrow on May 30, 2013

I don't get all the hate about Lady Gaga being in this movie. There are tones of threads on imdb about how she shouldn't be in this and blabla. Personally, I hate her music, but it doesn't bother at all that she's in Machete Kills, like it didn't bother me that Lohan was in the first one, or that Fergie was in Planet Terror.

I'd rather see Lady Gaga in a Machete movie than Lindsay Lohan. That's what I disliked about the first one.

Always like the vo dude's voice when they do these Robert Roderiguez trailers! Bad ass!

Perenko on May 30, 2013

Yeah, The English version has a much better VO than the Spanish version. The Spanish VO makes it sound comical (which it is), but the English makes it sound badass and hilarious at the same time.

Looks all right.
