April 2, 2013
Though the films might not get as much attention as Brave or Wreck-It Ralph, Disney has been dedicated to nature documentaries through their Disneynature banner since 2008. Last year, Chimpanzee took the spotlight, and in just over a year, audiences will head to the forest and mountains with Bears. The first trailer for the new documentary has surfaced and it mostly has Disney recapping their previous ventures into nature and explaining how part of their early ticket sales go to various organizations protecting the environment and its inhabitants. But there's also stunning footage of the majestic grizzly bears in Alaska.
Here's the first trailer for Disneynature's documentary Bears, direct from YouTube:
Disneynature's newest documentary Bears cozies up to the brown bears who call Alaska's stunning coastal mountains and shores their home, revealing through tender moments and entertaining imagery how these animals are far from grizzly creatures. This shooting location provides some of the most spectacular visuals ever for the Disneynature film co-directed by Keith Scholey (African Cats) and Alastair Fothergill (Earth, African Cats and Chimpanzee). Disney will send the film to theaters on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2014.

Yes, but I like that they gear these versions towards children. It's refreshing to go see a film with my kids that's not animated.
