Watch: DreamWorks Animation's Speedy Theatrical Trailer for 'Turbo'
by Ethan Anderton
March 20, 2013
A glimpse of the speedy snail popped up last year just before Christmas, but now a full-length theatrical trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Turbo is here to go hand-in-hand with their release of The Croods this weekend. Ryan Reynolds (who can also be heard in the prehistorical caveman family comedy) takes the lead here as Turbo, a garden-variety snail who dreams of being the fastest snail in the world - with a jetpack. Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph and Snoop Dogg all lend their voices to the film, which looks like a fun time.
The theatrical trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Turbo, originally from Apple (via ComingSoon):
Turbo is directed by David Soren (who went from storyboard artist, to head of story, to directing the Merry Madagascar Christmas special) working from a script he co-wrote with Shrek Forever After scribe Darren Lemke. Ryan Reyolds will voice the titular character in the story of an ordinary garden snail with an impossible dream: to become the fastest snail in the world. When a freak accident gives him extraordinary speed, Turbo sets out to try to make this dream come true. 20th Century Fox will be releasing DreamWorks Animation's Turbo starting on July 19th smack in the middle of this exciting summer. Look any better?

99.99999% of people commenting on this film are all missing the point. this was commissioned by IndyCar to make a film to teach children about the Indianapolis 500 and why it is the greatest race in the world. Thats all this is.
