"This is the most high profile murder case in British history." Though Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall hail from Australia and the United Kingdom respectively, both have enjoyed lucrative careers in the United States with plenty of roles as American characters. Now they're heading into international thriller territory with Closed Circuit, a film from Boy A director John Crowley. With a vibe and style that feels like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy meets The Bourne Identity (mostly because of the presence of Julia Stiles), this looks like a compelling slow burning thriller to finish off the summer full of explosive blockbusters. Watch below!
Here's the first trailer for John Crowley's Closed Circuit, in high def from Apple:
In Closed Circuit, two ex-lovers, Martin (Eric Bana of Hanna) and Claudia (Rebecca Hall of Iron Man 3), find their loyalties tested and their lives at risk when they are joined together on the defense team in a terrorism trial. The film comes from the producers behind Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and is directed by John Crowley (Boy A), with an original script from Steve Knight (Eastern Promises). Riz Ahmed, Jim Broadbent, Kenneth Cranham, Anne-Marie Duff, Ciarán Hinds and Julia Stiles also star in the film which Focus Features will be sending to theaters across the country later this summer on August 28th. Interested?
Strangely, the video is set to private ATM.

Followed the link, and it turns out that Universal blocked it on copyright grounds. Seems legit.
