"Don't take any chances." Universal has debuted a new 45-second TV spot for Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion, his follow-up feature to Tron Legacy, another big sci-fi epic this time starring Tom Cruise. While this is out in three months, we haven't seen too much from it yet, just one official trailer which introduced us to a futuristic Earth desolated by some kind of alien species with floating cities. Morgan Freeman also stars, along with Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough. I'm still looking forward to this, but boy does the marketing suck, this could be much better. Why isn't everyone else getting excited yet? Or are they? Enjoy!
Here's the first official TV spot for Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion, in high def on YouTube:
Kosinski's Oblivion (also known as Horizons) stars Tom Cruise as Jack Harper, plus Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Zoe Bell, Andrea Riseborough, Melissa Leo and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Living and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, Jack's soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands. Kosinski has developed this for years, with a writing credit along with William Monahan. Universal Pictures currently has Oblivion scheduled to open exclusively in IMAX theaters on April 12th. See the first trailer.

This looks cool, but I do not think it will end up being so good.
