"Play me something from 'Inside Llewyn Davis'…" Out of nowhere comes the very first trailer for the newest Coen Brothers movie, a biopic about musician Llewyn Davis, played by Oscar Isaac. This is titled Inside Llewyn Davis and we've been following it for a while, because it's the Coen's follow-up to True Grit and as expected, it looks outstanding. Beyond being a great biopic, it looks like a solid period piece in New York City, and much more. Carey Mulligan, Adam Driver, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund also star, and this is supposedly coming out very soon (potentially February 8th). Take a look!

Big name musicians like Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and Jeff Buckley have performed the song previously, but the most important one is Dave Van Ronk, the character on which Llewyn Davis is based. If there was any doubt of Isaac's musical talents, this should erase them. It's a classic tune, and I can't wait to hear what other songs will make it on to the film's soundtrack, especially with all the talent taking on musician roles. For those just joining us, the film, partly based on Van Ronk's memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street, chronicles the musicians's time as a larger-than-life presence in the 60's folk music scene in Greenwich Village, who is known for the famous folk-music haunts and mentoring musicians such as Bob Dylan. So?

Not my cup of team, music style n all that is. However knowing the Coen brothers I can say this looks like it is put together well. Random sidenote, John Goodman is still alive? I don't know why, but I keep thinking he is dead...

Please explain for those of us that aren't aware of the story. I thought he was a real person too.

Dave Van Ronk is a real person. Although Llewyn Davis is not, this film is still based on Dave Van Ronk, so "poo" is both right AND wrong.

The Coen Brothers have directed some of my favorite movies of all time and I have no doubt that this will be a great film. Great subject matter and I love the ending of this trailer too.

Looks really stunningly beautiful, but I had to stop it at half way... Trailers should be no longer than 1 minute & 30 seconds.

Looks good, I like the music of the guy it's based on. Sometimes though I wasn't quite sure when it was set there a few times, but it does look pretty decent.

"If there was any doubt of Isaac's musical talents, this should erase them."....Do you just not watch any of the trailers you post? He didn't do anything music related in this footage...I hope your tongue is placed firmly in your cheek, because I'm starting to think you're mailing in all your duties these days...HE DOESN'T SING/PLAY AT ALL.
