Rio 2

"We're going to the Amazon!" After two musical, foot-tapping teaser trailers arrived earlier this summer, the full theatrical trailer for Blue Sky Studios' animated sequel Rio 2 is finally here. This time Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and Jewel (Anne Hathaway) have a family of their own, and the matriarch of the family decides it's time for them to head out into the wild. Blu is a bit timid and intimidated by the other Blue Macaws they find in the wild, especially Jewel's father, voiced by Andy Garcia. The animation looks great, but we're not sure what the human characters are doing, or what the villain (Jemaine Clement) is up to.

Here's the theatrical trailer for Carlos Saldanha's Rio 2, originally from Apple:

Rio 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. There they encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild with voices provided by Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno, Bruno Mars and Kristin Chenoweth. In addition,, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, Bebel Gilberto, Jake T. Austin and Jamie Foxx are all reprising their roles from the first film. The animated sequel is directed by Carlos Saldanha (Rio) and Fox and Blue Sky send it to theaters on April 11th, 2014 next spring. Good?

Why do I feel like the voices are all different? Are they? I wouldn't be shocked...

I consider the first RIO to be one of the biggest surprises I have seen in animated features. I am pretty excited for this sequel.
