Watch: Full Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's 'Behind the Candelabra'

"No one has ever been closer to me than this young man." Wow, this looks interesting. On Sunday night, HBO finally debuted the full-length trailer for Steven Soderbergh's Behind the Candelabra: The Secret Life Of Liberace, the biopic drama starring Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his lover Scott Thorson. This comes on the heels of two other quick teaser trailers for the film, but bumps it up with more of the story and interactions, and characters like Dan Aykroyd, Rob Lowe and Debbie Reynolds. Even though this is an awkward story, this trailer is fantastic, and I honestly really want to see this movie.

HBO Films presents Behind the Candelabra, starring Academy Award winners Michael Douglas and Matt Damon; executive produced by Jerry Weintraub; directed by Steven Soderbergh (Sex Lies and Videotape, Out of Sight, Traffic, Ocean's 11 - 13, Solaris, The Good German, Che, The Girlfriend Experience, The Informant, Contagion, Haywire, Magic Mike, Side Effects) from a screenplay by Oscar nominee Richard LaGravenese (of The Fisher King, The Horse Whisperer, P.S. I Love You, Water for Elephants, Beautiful Creatures). The film is produced by Gregory Jacobs, Susan Ekins and Michael Polaire. HBO will premiere Steven Soderbergh's Behind the Candelabra on their channel May 26th at 9/8c. Anyone interested in this?

It's too bad the Motion Picture Academy doesn't recognize films made for TV. This looks just as good as any feature film showing in a cinema. Oh well. And while Damon does look like he's going to stun people with this one lets not overlook Michael Douglas's portrayal of Liberace.

Looks interesting.I'm just old enough to remember Liberace towards the end, so it'll be worth a look at what part of his earlier life & celebrity was like.
