Holy crap! Ready for a quick one-minute scare to end the week? One of our favorite up-and-coming horror directors, Canadian Jason Eisener based out of Nova Scotia behind Treevenge and Hobo With a Shotgun, has posted his one-minute horror short film One Last Dive online (tip via SlashFilm). The concept was to "make a 1-min 1 shot POV of something scary happening at 3:07am" for a horror filmmaking project on VICE (co-sponsored by The Conjuring). This looks like it was shot around the same time as Eisener was making his V/H/S/2 lake segment (which I loved), but it's still a freaky quick scare of its own. Watch below!
For more entries in the VICE and The Conjuring present "The 3:07AM Project", visit here. One Last Dive was written, directed and edited by Canadian filmmaker Jason Eisener, starring Cat Maltais and Peter Allen. Other directors contributing to the project include Nacho Vigalondo, Max Landis and Ti West - you can see all of their shorts in this video. I'm a big fan of Eisener (@jasoneisener) and I love his hyper-violent style, it's unique but incredibly entertaining. This was a fun short and I loved his segment (the final one) in V/H/S/2, curious to see what he's up to next. We'll keep an eye on Eisener and Vigalondo, Landis and West.

That was great. One minute to setup the lead up, suspense, and payout. Brilliant!

...it's the middle of a bright cheery sunny day, the birds are singing, the children are playing... and THIS thing STILL scared the bejesus outta me... the double payoff? The split second timing? Awesome...
