Watch: Josh Duhamel & Dan Fogler's Trip from Hell in 'Scenic Route'

After premiering at South by Southwest earlier this year, Scenic Route is coming to theaters later this summer. The film is directed by Kevin and Michael Goetz with a script from Kyle Killen (the writer of The Beaver, one of my favorite 2011 films), and finds Josh Duhamel with a mohawk and stranded with Dan Fogler in the desert after a road trip goes sour. Isolated in the middle of nowhere, the two friends turn on each other, because nobody can pick apart a man like his best friend. It doesn't look like this film can easily be classified as a comedy or drama, but it certainly looks intriguing in this new full trailer. Watch!
Here's the new trailer for Kevin and Michael Goetz's Scenic Route, originally from Deadline:
Scenic Route is directed by commercial and music video directing duo Kevin and Michael Goetz with a script from Kyle Killen (The Beaver, "Awake"). Mitchell (Josh Duhamel) and Carter (Dan Fogler), life-long friends who have drifted apart, are on a road trip when their old pickup breaks down, leaving them stranded on an isolated desert road. As the relentless elements of the desert grind them down, they start to attack each other’s life decisions with unwavering brutality. As they question who they are and who they could have been, their agitation leads to knife-wielding madness and more. The film hits theaters on August 23rd.
Kevin Killen. That guy cannot get a break.

Here's hoping they at least had fun making it. Looks pretty bad.

It's about time somebody gave Dan Fogler a good ass-kicking.

Way to show the ending. Even if the movie is great, that trailer is terrible.
