Watch: Justin Long in Funny or Die's 'iSteve' Biopic Teaser Trailer
"Genius left unchecked can lead to ruin…" So they're actually turning this into a full-length feature film, or is everything just one big joke? Oh no, it's really real. A month ago, Funny or Die decided to actually make an entire (~60 to 75 minute) movie starring actor Justin Long as Apple founder Steve Jobs in a parodied biopic called iSteve. Now the site has launched the first teaser trailer and it doesn't feature much footage, but does give us a quick glimpse of Long in character as Jobs yelling about how "I am Apple!" So far so good, I just hope this turns out better than an overstretched "SNL" sketch, but we'll have to wait for more footage.
iSteve is Funny Or Die's Steve Jobs movie with Justin Long. It was originally conceived as just a fake movie trailer, before Funny or Die producer Allison Hord and writer/director Ryan Perez (who has worked for "SNL" and is an experienced comedy filmmaking veteran) decided to turn it into a full-length feature film. The NY Times announced the news in February, confirming that it would be about "60 to 75 minutes" and would be the first feature from the site. Exact release plans have yet to be revealed; it will be out on Funny or Die in two weeks, though we're unsure if it'll be free to watch. "Mr. Perez said he wrote the 81-page script for iSteve in three days; it was taped in five. 'We might not be the best, but we will be the first,' he joked."

Looks a helluva lot better than that Achston Krutcher Steve Jobs movie, which mercifully seems to have been deleted.

I'm not sure if The Social Network had a trailer like this, but it reminded me of that movie's style a bit. This looks hilarious. That line at the end had me laughing, "I am Apple!". Like most of Funny or Die's stuff, this should be good and very funny at least.

Doesn't anyone remember Pirates of Silicon Valley, I believe that was the first Jobs movie.

"I'm a Mac" and I'm seeing the irony is extra thick.
