Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

"There's a very real scenario where we don't get out of this alive." As we wait to see whether or not a likely Christmas release of The Wolf of Wall Street pushes back Paramount's release of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit starring Chris Pine, a new international trailer with some footage not seen in the initial full trailer has surfaced. It gives us a little more Keira Knightley (with a slight Mr. and Mrs. Smith dynamic), Kevin Costner (a little bland) and Kenneth Branagh, who seems like he'll be a rather intimidating villain (he's also directing the film). It feels like a Bourne movie, so we're hoping for the best. Watch now!

Here's the new international trailer for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, originally from IGN:

Kenneth Branagh directs Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit with a script written by Steven Zaillian, Anthony Peckham, Adam Cozad and David Koepp. The film isn't adapted from a particular Tom Clancy novel, and essentially exists as an original story following Jack Ryan (from films like Patriot Games, The Hunt for Red October and The Sum of All Fears) before he joined the CIA. Branagh is also playing the villain with Keira Knightley as the love interest, Kevin Costner as Ryan's mentor and Colm Feore in a supporting role, too. Paramount Pictures sends Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit to theaters everywhere December 25th coming up.

i really really want to like this. keira knightley is ridiculously gorgeous in this trailer...but the action and the dialogue is falling totally flat- just here...still holding out a slim bit of hope...and will obviously still check it out in theater as long as the reviews aren't totally damning.

Looks a bit MissionImpossiBourne. They took out the Keira twist in this one which is an improvement, is that because international audiences don't need the full story before they go see the movie?

I've seen this kind of trailer many times before... Nothing new under the sun.
