"He sees things no living person is supposed to see." The first trailer for James Wan's horror sequel Insidious: Chapter 2 finally laid out the plot for the film as the Lambert family continues to be haunted by beings from the spirit world. The connection had been passed down from father (Patrick Wilson) to son (Ty Simpkins) and now it's back to the patriarch as the Lamberts new home is more haunted than ever. This international trailer shows off some new characters who aim to close the door to the spirit world, including a creepy child medium, and there's plenty of new, horrifying spirits from the other side. Watch!
Here's the international trailer for James Wan's Insidious: Chapter 2, first found on JoBlo:
James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) directs Insidious: Chapter 2 with a script from writer Leigh Whannell (Saw, Insidious). In the terrifying sequel to the acclaimed horror film, the haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world they thought was left behind. Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Barbara Hershey and Ty Simpkins return for the sequel which Film District releases on Friday, September 13th, this fall. Scared?

How much shit can you take from restless spirits before you just get used to it? How long until you just say "Hey Bill." hm?

The first one was so close to being amazing and this one looks to follow suit. As in genuinely scary but fades to cheesy in the last act.

I thought the last act of Insidious is actually what elevated it from 'Really great haunted house movie' to a whole other level. Going into "The Further" was just a brilliant move, in my opinion. How often do horror films send the main characters into the realm that the 'evil spirits' actually come from?

Just saw The Conjuring last night. James Wan is a master of horror and is getting better with every new film he makes.
