24 Exposures

Next month, we'll see Joe Swanberg's holiday comedy Happy Christmas premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, but around the same time, the director will have a completely different film hitting VOD and limited theaters. 24 Exposures is a violent thriller following a fetish photographer (Adam Wingard) who shoots tableau style photos focusing on women and death. But of course, one of his models ends up dead, and the killer must be tracked down. It's definitely a low budget thriller, but we're impressed with how decent the film looks, especially with just how quickly Swanberg seems to pump out films each year. Watch!

Here's the first trailer for Joe Swanberg's 24 Exposures, originally from Yahoo:

Fetish photographer Billy (Adam Wingard) stages elaborate shoots around his fixations, photographing women in various stages of undress and death. When one of his models winds up actually dead, depressed and romantically disillusioned investigator Michael (Simon Barrett), suffering through a crumbling relationship himself, knocks on his door and discovers a world he struggles to understand - in Billy's art, as well as his apparent ease at juggling professional and intimate relationships with a committed girlfriend and various models. Meanwhile, a killer is still on the loose. Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, V/H/S) writes and directs 24 Exposures and IFC Midnight releases the film on VOD and limited theaters January 24th.

Well, considering there is such a thing as green band and red band trailers, and this had no indication of either, I just thought it was a fair heads up. And Nash, I didn't watch the whole thing, just up until the ass clad red stockings appeared. I work at a conservative office where these type of trailers are frowned upon, so I'd like to stay employed.

You're watching movie trailers while the boss is paying you? The thought would never cross my mind, because I also want to stay employed. And I don't even work for a conservative organization.

A guy taking kinky pictures of girls pretending it's art and then ... surprise! One of the girls gets killed. I am trying to find one intriguing question about this trailer, but I can't.

After a certain point you really should stop making student films.

I really shocked and impressed by Franck Khalfoun ' MANIAC. Maniac was in same category of this movie but with Unique Vision , Breathtaking Atmosphere , Excellent Directing and Acting and Very Realistic Horror Moments. This trailer doesn't have that scores.

Man, this guy is all over the place. Everything from mumblecore to this. As prolific as Woody Allen! Hopefully he'll be as good down the line

why does it always have to be the "woman" ending up dead? when are we going to see some films where the Woman kills the man? hell, I will volunteer if that helps.
