The Lone Ranger

Yesterday an awesome new domestic trailer was released straight from CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and it finally keyed us into the shady, moneymaking scheme by Tom Wilkinson and William Fichtner as the film's primary antagonists. Plus, there were some great new glimpses at the big action sequences on trains throughout the film. Well, overseas a new trailer was released as well, and this one shows even more action, and gives Armie Hammer some great moments as the hero, along with a bit more comedy between him and Johnny Depp as Tonto. It definitely has a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe all around, but will it be a hit?

Here's the new international trailer for Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger from Walt Disney Pictures:

The Lone Ranger is directed by Pirates of the Caribbean franchise helmer Gore Verbinski and written by Ted Elliot, Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption. The Lone Ranger arrives on July 3rd.
