Jayne Mansfield's Car

Last summer, the first trailer for the Berlin Film Festival selected film Jayne Mansfield's Car from director and actor Billy Bob Thornton arrived, but some issues with the copyright for music caused the trailer to get taken down. Now the official trailer is here since the film is slated for release on VOD later this month and limited theaters in September. The film follows two clashing families as they are brought together by the death of a woman who was married, first to the Southern American Jim Caldwell (Robert Duvall) and then to the British Kingsley Bedford (John Hurt). The film features a cast including Kevin Bacon, Robert Patrick, Ray Stevenson and Shawnee Smith, but we're not sure if it works. Watch!

Here's the release trailer for Billy Bob Thornton's Jayne Mansfield's Car, originally from Yahoo:

Jayne Mansfield's Car is directed by award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, who previously directed films like Sling Blade, All the Pretty Horses and Daddy & Them, and he also wrote screenplay with Tom Epperson. Brought together by the death of a woman who was married, first to the Southern American Jim Caldwell (Robert Duvall) and then to the British Kingsley Bedford (John Hurt), two families meet for the first time at the Caldwells’ Alabama home with uneasy curiosity. The film originally premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and arrives on VOD August 20th and opens in limited theaters on September 13th this fall.
