Watch: Final Red Band Trailer for Washington & Wahlberg's '2 Guns'

The buzz on Universal's action thriller 2 Guns starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg has been relatively quiet, but thankfully, it doesn't sound as disastrous as the studio's recent release of R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds. As a last ditch effort to get audiences interested in the early August release coming this Friday, a final red band trailer for the film from Contraband director Baltasar Kormákur. Honestly, the trailer needs more villainous Bill Paxton and smart-mouthed Wahlberg to really make it work. Otherwise, there's just some slightly salty language to qualify this as a red band trailer. Nothing too wild. Watch below!

Universal's 2 Guns follows a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer (Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington) who have been tasked with investigating one another but find they have been set up by the mob -- the very organization the two men believe they have been stealing money from. Baltasar Kormákur (Contraband) is directing the film from a script by "Law & Order: LA" writer Blake Masters based on Steven Grant's graphic novel of the same name. The film also features Paula Patton, James Marsden, Edward James Olmos and Bill Paxton and is slated to hit theaters this summer starting August 2nd. Cool?

@Ethan Anderton My man. where have you been the last couple of weeks. universal has been marketing this film left and right for over the last 4 weeks. and it's tracking well too be number one at the box office
