Watch: Peter Jackson Talks with Wright, Pegg & Frost for 'World's End'

July 17, 2013
We'll have plenty of coverage for the anticipated conclusion to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy from director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost since the Focus Features film has a full panel in Hall H, a special screening (our review will be coming soon) and more. But until then, director Peter Jackson took it upon himself to sit down with the comedy trio and fellow nerds for an interesting 20-minute chat about The World's End, including the story origins and the production process itself. Remember Jackson had a cameo as a ravenous Santa Claus in Hot Fuzz, so he and Wright go way back.
Here's Peter Jackson's chat with Wright, Pegg & Frost for The World's End from YouTube:
Don't forget to check out The World's End panel in Hall H on Friday morning at Comic-Con! See you there.
Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) is writing and directing The World's End, third part of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them (Pegg) becomes hellbent on restaging a drinking marathon and reach the fabled pub, The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just their's but humankind’s. Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Rosamund Pike and Eddie Marsan also star in the film arriving in US theaters on August 23rd.

Very entertaining just to listen them to talk to each other like movie fans, as well as hearing about some of their professional approaches to scripting and improv. Look forward to the film!
