Stephen Dorff and Willem Dafoe in 'Tomorrow You're Gone' Trailer
The familiar thriller trope of a former criminal just trying to get his life in order until he's given one last job is back in action with Tomorrow You're Gone. This time it's Stephen Dorff (Somewhere, Blade) in the protagonist role as his final job goes wrong. But it's not just any job. This one comes from a man (Willem Dafoe) who saved his life in prison and wants a murder carried out in exchange. With 24 hours to clean up his mess, everything is on the line, including a promising nice girl (Michelle Monaghan). This doesn't look terrible, but it just feels like we've seen this movie before. Perhaps Dorff and Dafoe can spice this up.
Here's the first trailer for David Jacobson's Tomorrow You're Gone originally from Apple:
Charlie Rankin (Stephen Dorff) is out of prison, but not out of trouble. Indebted to the man who saved his life behind bars (Willem Dafoe), Charlie must now carry out a murder to settle the score. But things start to change for Charlie when he meets Florence (Michelle Monaghan), a mysterious and beautiful lost soul who sees the good in him. When the hit goes bad, it's Charlie's life that is on the line, and he'll have to figure out how to settle his debts and keep Florence out of danger before his past catches up to him. David Jacobson directs Tomorrow You're Gone written by Matthew F. Jones and hitting theaters and VOD on April 5th.
Dorff and dafoe could make this worth watching. I like them both.

I'm calling it now, Dafoe's character isn't real, just a figment of Dorff imagination.
