After playing at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, the new music centric drama Song for Marion is finally heading to theaters, but with the new title Unfinished Song. The film follows Arthur, a bit of a grumpy old man (Terence Stamp), who has little reason to smile when his wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave) becomes terminally ill. While Marion finds joy singing with an elderly choir (singing unconventional songs for their age like Let's Talk About Sex and Ace of Spades) it will take more to cheer up Arthur. Gemma Arterton plays an enthusiastic choir director, and this looks sappy, but charming. Watch!
Here's the trailer for Paul Andrew Williams' Unfinished Song, originally from Yahoo:
When his beloved wife (Vanessa Redgrave) falls ill, a curmudgeonly retiree (Terence Stamp) must take her place in the local seniors’ choir. Gemma Arterton also stars in the film as the choir director and Christopher Eccleston plays Arthur's estranged son James. Paul Andrew Williams wrote and directed Unfinished Song, which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, and will hit theaters on February 8th.
