Watch: The Explosive Detroit Set of 'Transformers: Age of Extinction'

We got a glimpse of some of the explosive mayhem (or Bayhem) on the set of Transformers: Age of Extinction in a first look photo from earlier this year, but now an even better look behind the scenes has popped up. The airheads over at Entertainment Tonight were given access to the set in "Hong Kong" where they filmed some segments during production of a scene with plenty of action. Of course, since the Autobots and Decepticons will be added in post-production, we don't know what's going on besides explosions, vehicle destruction and chaos. Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor were there too. Watch!
Here's the set video from Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction from ET:
Michael Bay is directing Transformers 4 as his last film in the blockbuster series before handing the franchise off to another director. No plot details are known yet, but Bay says, "We start four years later and there’s a reason why we’re meeting a new cast. We keep the 'Transformers' the way they were. It’s just four years later. There’s a reason the Transformers are redesigned. We’re trying to broaden the franchise and give it more places to go." The new cast includes Mark Wahlberg, T.J. Miller, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Li Bingbing and the film arrives on June 27th, 2014.

I hope you know that's Detroit not China.

I actually thought they were still filming in Hong Kong. We changed it to reflect the fact that they're shooting in Detroit. Thanks.

They moved pass filming in Hong Kong and I believe may still be shooting in China itself now. Not sure since Mark Walberg seems to be back in the states or maybe he's just taking a break before he goes back or maybe he's not in those scenes. I've seen some location shots on the internet out in parts of China people don't normally see. If ET recently showed that piece they're pretty late.

Explosions - you mean fireworks... 🙁 Everytime there is explosion in TF, you can clearly see fireworks what ruins the moment

It looks like the same to me. But one thing, after watching pain and gain, I have a little bit newly found respect for MB. That movie was pretty good and fun. Unexpected to see the best performance by the Rock! If you haven't seen it yet i highly recommend renting it!!

lol this chick is even more obnoxious than a Michael Bay film! You have to admit though Bay knows how to direct action and I love that he goes for real explosions and uses CG only when necessary.

REBOOOOOT! I want a reboot! I love MB, and i think he has the tools for great action and great movies, BUT he just doesnt have the vision enough to honor the comic/cartoons of Transformers to properly transfer it to the big screen.
