Thor: The Dark World

The most recent trailer and posters for Thor: The Dark World give us a revealing look at just how prominent the god of thunder's mischievous brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be featured in the Marvel sequel. It makes us wonder if losing the Battle of Manhattan wasn't just a conveniently destructive ruse to get back to Asgard. Now a new TV spot gives us a little more Loki, some Heimdall (Idris Elba) and a taste of the destruction that's coming towards Asgard, where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has brought his human love interest Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). Plus, our main villain Malekith, played by Christopher Eccelston, can be heard taunting Thor and his family, and he's certainly not messing around. Watch it!

Here's the extended TV spot for Thor: The Dark World from Marvel:

In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and The Avengers, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) fights to restore order across the cosmos, but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones") directs Thor: The Dark World which arrives in theaters on November 8th. What say you now?

I really want this to be a great movie. I love the first film (minus some complaints with the script) and I really enjoy the cinematic version of Thor. I just don't want this to turn out like Marvel is just okay with getting by on a decent film (ala Iron Man 2/3)

That's a matter of opinion. I liked Iron Man 3 WAY more than 2. Some will say they liked 2 more than 3. All opinions. Bottom line is someone likes these movies cause they keep making tons of money and it hasn't shown up yet that people are getting tired of them.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the first film, so I'm now looking forward to the sequel.
