Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out

In 2008, director Marina Zenovich turned the lens on director Roman Polanski and the 1977 statutory rape case that is brought up whenever the filmmaker is discussed. Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired showed some of the unsavory details of the case that may have treated Polanski unfairly in his legal struggles, but it is believed that the film made him more of a target. Now Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out tries to determine why Switzerland's government decided to arrest Polanski and threaten extradition to the US after leaving him alone for so long. The film sounds provoking, but the discussion just seems tired.

Here's the trailer for Marina Zenovich's Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out originally from Yahoo:

Emmy winning director Marina Zenovich, who also serves as narrator, explores the bizarre clash of politics, celebrity justice and the media as she sheds new light on the infamous saga of director Roman Polanski’s sexual abuse case and his escape from Swiss house arrest.  A follow-up to the Emmy-winning documentary Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, focusing on the filmmaker's successful battle to avoid extradition from Switzerland into the United States back in 2010. The film premieres on Showtime sometime this year.

Eh if this was in Europe nobody would give a shit. We are so taboo about sex over here its absolutely ridiculous. I think its funny that this girl (women now) is milking her story for all these years on movies and tv shows just to make a name for herself. It's pathetic.

I think drugging and having anal sex with a 13 year year old is still pretty taboo in Europe too. Unless you hang out with people traffickers.

I don't know where you get the idea that the victim in this case is milking her publicity. She has actually refused to be interviewed and was reportedly angry that Polanski was arrested because it meant reporters were seeking her out again. Polanski drugged the girl. Even if she had not been 13, giving somebody a Quaalude and having sex with them while unconscious is still rape. Anybody who defends Polanski disgusts me.

Polanski is a cowardly sick Jew. I will not support his films. He embarrasses me.

The fact that he is Jewish has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
