Briefly: Warner Bros (via Deadline) has revealed the release date for Jupiter Ascending, the upcoming sci-fi project from The Wachowskis, for July 2014. It's filling in the original spot left vacant when WB moved The Hobbit: There & Back Again from July to December, which is still when X-Men: Days of Future Past is also set, so they've put Jupiter Ascending the next week - July 25th, 2014. Bold move taking on X-Men a week later. The movie stars Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Sean Bean and Eddie Redmayne and is set in another universe where humans are near the bottom of the evolutionary ladder. I've got a good feeling Jupiter Ascending going to be hugely epic and awesome, and it looks like WB is thinking the same.

Aint surgery amazing. HE did look like a hideous chud like his bro. Now HE looks like an almost not ugly "girl".

It just messes with my mind, that's all I'll say. Fits the part, that's what their movies (enjoyably) do too!

Cloud Atlas flopped because nobody wants to see a movie directed by a tranny and its fat brother.

I love that Hollywood seems to be returning to make original blockbusters. Meaning, huge budget blockbusters that are not adaptations, sequels, or reboots of a pre-existing property. We had Avatar in 2009, Inception in 2010, are getting Pacific Rim this year.... But for 2014, we have Jupiter Ascending on July 25th, Interstellar on November 7th, and Tomorrowland on December 19th. I'm very excited to see studios willing to fork out mega-budgets on NEW ideas.

Where were you when Avatar was being compared to about half a dozen previous stories?

There are common threads in EVERY story. But Avatar is not a direct adaptation of anything that existed previously. It's not based on comics like the Batman films or something like that. Just like a movie such as Star Wars, it took a lot of common threads, familiar themes and archetypes and blended it into something fresh.
