Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

There's almost been too much promotion for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, but honestly, each appearance of Ron Burgundy is so funny that we're really not tired of the hype machine just yet. In fact, as long as Paramount Pictures keeps having Will Ferrell make appearances as Ron Burgundy (like guest hosting Sports Center this month), we'll be watching. And such is the case with this latest video that has Ferrell as Burgundy hosting an actual local news broadcast in North Dakota at KX News. With his own flare, Burgundy reports real news with some funny quips. Kudos to his co-anchor for not losing composure.

Here's Ron Burgundy on KX News (via Vulture) for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues:

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is written and directed by Adam McKay, the man behind the original 2004 comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and comedies like Step Brothers. With the 70's behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk. Also back are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) - All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking New York's first 24-hour news channel by storm. Paramount Pictures brings the sequel to theaters this winter on December 20th, 2013.

I can't stand the movie, but I'm loving the bits w/ the character in commercials & publicity stunts like this. A little Farrell or Ron Burgundy goes a long way, IMO.

Will Farrell seems to be horrible at improv.

Or he was actually delivering the news.

He tried to be funny as well, and failed.

Everyone just seemed real stiff.

That was the stiffest news team I've seen. North Dakotans must fall asleep to that.

Wow, apparently charisma isn't a requirement for newscasters in North Dakota. There must only be one item under requisite skills on the newscaster posting, "must be able to survive the winter".
