Will Ferrell & Jack Black Chase Each Other Across U.S. in 'Tag Brothers'

The two previously appeared in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy in quite an epic bridge confrontation, and now Jack Black and Will Ferrell are looking to reunite as Tag Brothers. New Line Cinema snagged the rights to a Wall Street Journal article about a group of former classmates from Washington who have a long-running, nationwide game of tag that happens throughout the entire month of February. The group of friends is now in their 40s, and try to balance their professional and personal lives while trying to avoid being "it" in a game that has them breaking into each other's offices and homes. Epic!
At this point, The Wrap says Ferrell and Black are only loosely attached to the project, and their full involvement is contingent on a script from low profile writer Mark Steilen. Though you may not know any of his work, recently Steilen wrote the family comedy Time Share for Sony and Will Smith's company Overbrook Entertainment, as well as a rock 'n roll movie called Born to Rock, which is being set up at Paramount right now. The concept itself is enough for me to be interested, so lets hope this script is good enough to keep Ferrell and Black around.

I remember reading about this story. The article was hysterical. The friends live in a constant state of fear!
