A Cappella Bad Boy Adam DeVine is Returning for 'Pitch Perfect 2'

The Barden Bellas had quite an arch nemesis in the form of Adam DeVine leading the Treblemakers before he abandoned his a capella team to go sing back-up on John Mayer's last album. But it sounds like maybe things didn't go so well for DeVine's character Bumper Allen as Deadline reports he will return in Pitch Perfect 2, the sequel already slated for release on May 15th, 2015. DeVine joins Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Show as returning cast members from the surprise musically infused comedy hit. But we're still wondering just what kind of story we're going to get from the sequel without treading water.
Maybe this time there's some kind of big TV competition that the Barden Bellas get involved with, and Bumper ends up leading a different team of singers? That would be interesting. So far, we only know that the Barden Bellas have a new singer in the form of Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) and she's being set up to take over the franchise should a Pitch Perfect 3 end up being ordered. What cool mash-ups will we get on the soundtrack this time? Can it measure up to the love of the original? Universal is certainly hoping so.

This was the worst part of Pitch Perfect. I couldn't stand this guy. I've never seen him anywhere else, but thought his acting was terrible. I'm not excited for him to be back...
