"Sometimes demons get attached to objects." Following a terrifying introduction to the origin story of Annabelle, the doll who made her big screen debut in The Conjuring, the full theatrical trailer for the horror spin-off has arrived. There's the average horrors you would expect, but they're heightened by the presence of a newborn baby being caught up in the terror. Plus, there's one particular creepy surprise towards the end of the trailer. James Wan is only producing this one, but John Leonetti, the director of photography on The Conjuring, seems to have his honored horror spirit (no pun intended). Watch below!
Here's the second full trailer for John Leonetti's Annabelle straight from Warner Bros. Pictures:
Annabelle is directed by John Leonetti (the director of photography on The Conjuring making his feature directorial debut) and written by Gary Dauberman (Hell Hath No Fury, Swamp Devil), inspired by James Wan's 2013 horror film The Conjuring. The story of the doll comes from a case investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren in which a college student was beset by a demon manipulating the doll, but plot details on Annabelle's origin are under wraps. Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard, Ward Horton, Tony Amendola and more star in the film which Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema release on October 3rd. Scary stuff?

That last shot is very very well done. The shot where Annabelle drops to the floor to look under the door crack was hilariously bad.

Yeah, pretty sure she was knocked off or dropped by something in the room. It's a shot to signify another presence, not one to say, ooooh, Annabelle is looking at you.

Regardless of there being someone/thing in the room I'm assuming that the doll can see because it's haunted and when it makes eye contact there's a loud scary sound effect, as if to suggest it sees her looking under the door. You're probably right though, I'm probably misinterpreting the scene because it's out of context and it's a trailer.

NOPE. This doll was the scariest part of THE CONJURING.
