Anton Yelchin & Imogen Poots Reteam for Saulnier's 'Green Room'
Back in 2011, Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots starred in the remake of Fright Night, and now they're getting back together for another thriller. THR reports Yelchin and Poots (which sounds like a good name for a musical duo) will both star in Green Room, the next thriller from Blue Ruin director Jeremy Saulnier. We first reported on the film in May, and it's said to follow a punk rock band (led by Yelchin) who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a murder outside, forcing them to fight for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads. And the supporting cast has filled out too. Read on!
Alia Shawkat ("Arrested Development"), Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Joe Cole ("Peaky Blinders"), Callum Turner (Queen and Country) and Saulnier's incredible Blue Ruin lead Macon Blair will also star in the film. The trade doesn't say who the supporting cast additions will play, but the report does reveal that Poots is playing a skinhead whose friend is killed, which drivers her to take sides with the band instead of her racist gang friends. This sounds like another intense thriller Saulnier has on his hands, and production begins in Portland later this month. We can't wait to see it.
