Barry Pepper & Lili Taylor Boarding 'The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials'
With production fast-tracked to meet release next fall, the sequel The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, new cast members were found pretty quickly for the film that finds the surviving group of teens who made it outside of the deadly maze now faced with a new set of challenges for survival in a futuristic world ravaged by devastation and disease. Outside the maze, Dylan O'Brien and his group run into other groups of survivors, some of which will be young (played by Jacob Lofland and Rosa Salazar) and others will be older (with Giancarlo Esposito leading a group called The Cranks). Now two more survivors have just surfaced.
THR Reports Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan) has joined the film in the role of Vince, a survivalist who is one of the last remaining soldiers of a legendary unit called the Right Arm. And Lily Taylor (The Conjuring), has landed the role of Mary Cooper, a doctor who started a colony of survivors and ends up helping Thomas (O’Brien) and the rest of the Gladers, including Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Patricia Clarkson is also supposed to return in the film after appearing at the end of The Maze Runner and fueling the mystery of the young adult adaptation. Wes Ball returns to direct The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, and Fox sends the film to theaters next year on September 18th, 2015.
What happened to Barry Pepper? I always love him in whatever he does. Should have been a god damn star.

Pepper has an amazing face. Perfect for Westerns, horror, anything with major drama. This project sounds great.
