Bateman & Crudup Want Olivia Wilde in 'The Longest Week' Trailer
Just recently we got our first look at Jason Bateman reuniting with Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis in Horrible Bosses 2, but before that film arrives in the fall, the "Arrested Development" star will be chasing after Olivia Wilde, much to the chagrin of his best friend Billy Crudup, in The Longest Week. As Conrad Valmont (Bateman) is cut off from his family's fortune, he is forced to move in with his old friend Dylan (Crudup), only to use his charm's in an attempt to steal his girlfriend (Wilde). It looks pretty bland, and the story feels more than a little weak, trying to make an interesting story out of rich white people problems, but maybe the cast can make this a little more appealing than it seems in the trailer? Watch!
Here's the first trailer for Peter Glanz's The Longest Week, originally form Vlicious:
The Longest Week is written and directed by Peter Glanz, making his feature directorial debut. Conrad Valmont (Jason Bateman), the over-educated, under-employed heir to the Valmont Hotel fortune, is cut off from his allowance and tossed out into the unforgiving streets of NYC. Luckily, he is taken in by his old friend Dylan (Billy Crudup), but immediately falls for his girlfriend Beatrice (Olivia Wilde). As Conrad attempts to woo Beatrice while keeping both their relationship and his bank balance secret, Dylan tries to set him up with Jocelyn (Jenny Slate). Ever committed to the charade that is difficult to maintain, Conrad quickly realizes his charm can only extend so far into debt. The film hits limited theaters September 5th.
