by Ethan Anderton
June 25, 2014
Briefly: Disney's new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic novel The Jungle Book already has an interesting cast of voice talent to help bring the animals to life including Idris Elba as the tiger Shere Khan, Scarlett Johansson as the python Kaa and Lupita Nyong'o as Rakcha, the mother wolf who adopts the orphaned Mowgli in the jungle. Now Disney has announced that Ben Kingsley will voice Bagheera, the black panther. Jon Favreau is directing the live-action/animated hybrid which has already been slated to hit theaters on October 9th, 2015. Expect more casting to surface soon as the start of production nears.
