The Weinstein Company just recently pulled their family film Paddington from the original Christmas Day release date to arrive in the middle of January 2015 instead. But since the film is still on track for release around Thanksgiving in the United Kingdom, a new trailer form across the pond has just arrived. And what makes this trailer much better than the first is that Ben Whishaw (Skyfall) can finally be heard as the voice of the title bear (he replaced Colin Firth after a "conscious uncoupling" occurred). This still looks pretty silly and childish, but movies like this always pop up around the holidays for the kids, so there ya go.
Here's the new UK trailer for Paul King's Paddington from Studio Canal UK:
And as a bonus, here's a featurette about bringing the bear to life from Studio Canal UK too:
If you haven't yet, you can still watch the teaser trailer for Paddington right here.
Paddington is written directed by Paul King, produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter franchise) and based on the children's book character created by Michael Bond in 1958. The story follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family who offer him a temporary haven. Colin Firth voices Paddington while Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters also star in the film which The Weinstein Company will release in the US January 16th, 2015 next year.

It's a movie about a talking bear of course it's going to be silly. It's also a kids movie so of course it's going to be childish. Were you really expecting a beloved children's book to be adapted into anything other than that?
