Bet Your Bottom Dollar on the Final Trailer for the Remake of 'Annie'

"Please, take care of our baby. Her name's Annie." That's right, the remake of the classic musical Annie is still a movie that's coming out this winter, in case you forgot with all the excitement for Interstellar hitting theaters this week. Honestly, if you're not already sold on this flick, then you're probably not going to see anything new in the latest trailer to convince you to see it. While it doesn't look terrible, this movie looks painfully sweet, like Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis will give you cavities. And since it's a musical, we know it's not going to be as short as most family films. But will it be worth your time? See for yourself.
Here's the last trailer for Will Gluck's remake of Annie direct from YouTube:

Annie is directed by Will Gluck (Easy A) who also wrote the screenplay with Alice Brosh McKenna (We Bought a Zoo, The Devil Wears Prada) and Emma Thompson. Putting a modern spin on the classic musical, the film follows Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis), a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way in NYC in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back, it’s been a hard knock life living under mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). But everything’s about to change when New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) makes a thinly-veiled campaign move to take her in. Sony Pictures has slated the musical remake for release December 19th. Anyone like it?
I'm getting tired of movies trying to glorify NYC. The place is a dump.

Wallis looks great. But the story looks tired and dull. Shame this is her sophomore effort.

Looks fun! Might let the kids see it.
