The cast of Judd Apatow's new comedy Trainwreck is already rather promising with comedian Amy Schumer leading the film set for release on July 24th, 2015. Joining her is "Saturday Night Live" veteran and The Skeleton Twins star Bill Hader. Now we have another great cast member joining in the fun as Variety reports Brie Larson (21 Jump Street, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) has landed some sort of role in the developing project. Larson is certainly on the rise after her much praised performance in last year's indie darling Short Term 12, one of the films on our list of The 19 Best Movies That You Didn't See in 2013.
For some reason, the more recent casting updates are saying the plot is being kept under wraps, but when news of the film first surfaced, the story was described as following a complete basket case (Schumer) trying to rebuild her life with her boyfriend, best friend and parent in tow. When Hader was cast, we assumed that he would be Schumer's boyfriend, and Larson seems like a prime candidate for Schumer's best friend. We're very interested to see what Schumer, who has her own Comedy Central show, does with her first lead role.
