V/H/S: Viral

Following the reveal of the official title, cast synopsis and first look at the horror anthology sequel V/H/S: Viral, the sales trailer from the Cannes Film Market has just made its way online, and it's just as creepy as you'd expect. The tease comes hot on the heels of the news that Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, has picked up the distribution rights to the film in the United States. The trailer uses some snippets from the first two film before showing teases of the new segments, which feature a deranged illusionist, some creepy paranormal activity, a death cult and more. Looks pretty damn freaky. Watch now!

Here's the original Cannes sales trailer for V/H/S: Viral, found via Bloody Disgusting:

And here's the teaser poster for the horror anthology sequel as well:

V/H/S: Viral

V/H/S: Viral is directed by Nacho Vigalondo (Extraterrestrial), Marcel Sarmiento (ABCs of Death segment "D is for Dogfight"), Gregg Bishop (The Birds of Anger), Justin Benson (Wrecked) and Todd Lincoln (The Apparition). The stories include a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object of great power, a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world, teenage skaters targeted by a Mexican death cult ritual, and a shadowy organization tracking a serial killer. The segments are tied together by fame-obsessed teens following a violent car chase in LA who unwittingly become the next internet sensation. Stay tuned.

i cant watch horror movies way to scarry for me, didnt even watch trailer for it. this week there has only been 1!!! 1 giggle movie and the rest is horror or action or scifi.

I'm beginning to like the V/H/S series, more so than the Paranormal Activity series, ONLY because they put a lot of work into the movie, with special effects, audio, cinematography, etc. But the heavy down side to that is they put waaaay too much work into it, and it just comes out looking cheesy as shit. The first one was alright. Second was good. Hopefully the third will be great -- the trailer looks promising. I hope to god I'm right.

Agreed! The second was much better than the first, which is a shame as I was think the directors in the first anthology are capable of much more. This one just looks like some awesome fun. Actually looking forward to this.
