Steve Roger means business. That's pretty much all we need to know in this first TV spot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Marvel sequel starring summer early in April. We get a slight snippet of some new footage of Chris Evans encountering his latest villain (Sebastian Stan), the title enemy with a metal arm who has some deep ties to the past of Steve Rogers. Plus there's quick flashes of stuff we saw in the most recent trailer and Super Bowl spot. This is going to be one hell of a sequel, and it's definitely going to give Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World a run for their money as the best film in Phase Two. Watch!
Here's the first TV spot for Anthony & Joe Russo's Captain America: The Winter Soldier from Marvel:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is directed by Anthony & Joe Russo ("Community" and "Arrested Development") with a script from Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor: The Dark World). Chris Evans reprises his role as Captain America, still struggling to adjust to present day life, when a powerful new enemy emerges. Scarlett Johansson also returns in the film as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha Romanoff along with Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Robert Redford, Frank Grillo and Sebastian Stan. Disney will release the Marvel sequel in theaters next spring starting April 4th.

Not another super hero film where the super hero takes off his mask/helmet so the actor can have his face time. ARRRGGHHHH!

Nope, it's a superhero film where the super hero takes off his mask to show his face to someone he knows from the past. If you don't know the comic don't be self righteousness.

That sounds ridiculous. Keep the helmet on. He's going to need it.

Yup. Happens in every single super hero film. Actors just can't help it. Only Judge Dred, Karl Urban never revealed his face. As it should be.

I think the reason many superheroes end up taking their masks off is so the audience can connect with them on a more human level. Usually, if there's an action scene or a fight scene, the mask stays on, but an emotional scene will require the mask to come off for whatever reason.

How will they deal with spoilers? Have they not revealed who the Winter Soldier is? If they haven't, then wouldn't the twist be ruined if people see the actor playing Winter Soldier played a certain character in the first one?

Good Q, I haven't read anywhere that says they've actually said who he is exactly. I feel like either ya know or ya don't...not sure how you keep that unknown at this point.
