Secret Cinema's Back to the Future

Nowadays when people proclaim something as "the greatest of all-time," it's usually unsubstantiated hyperbole. But when I say what you're about to see looks like the undeniably greatest screening of Back to the Future of all-time, I mean it when every fiber of my being. You may remember over the summer that we heard about Secret Cinema's plans to rebuild Hill Valley in London for an outdoor screening of the time travel classic. Well, that event has come and gone, and now an incredible video of the event has surfaced showing off just how truly amazing and wondrous this screening was. Prepare to be amazed!

Here's the amazing video recounting Secret Cinema's Back to the Future event (via SlashFilm):

From the the fact that the movie itself is screened on the front of the clocktower to all of the recreation happening just below the film itself (something that frequently happens at Rocky Horror Picture Show events all the time), this is just an amazing event. If you're sad that you weren't able to experience this for yourself, don't worry, you have a chance. At some point in 2015, Secret Cinema is bringing the event to Los Angeles. So if you live in California, or you're a big enough fan to fly out and experience this for yourself, we'll do our best to keep you posted as to when Secret Cinema bring Hill Valley home where it belongs!

Heh. Sweet. Recently showed BTTF for my girlfriend's son and he dug it fine...Of course, when he sensed the end of the film coming he turns to chat with me and I had to tell him,"Watch this!" The second the DeLorean pops into the air, his jaw hit the floor. Then it became a Great Movie for him.

I was lucky enough to attend in August and I cant even describe how amazing it was. It was absolutely surreal, from being picked up by a school bus and dropped off at Hill Valley High where the Enchantment Under the Sea dance was happening, searching through Docs notes and watching him do a static electricity experiment, Biff runnin around insulting people, everybody spontaneously dancing on the lawn, a wedding proposal (better believe that was a guaranteed yes), and so much more. Made me wish I could experience all my favorite movies that way, *sigh* absolutely wonderful so if anyone gets the opportunity to attend a future event dont hesitate to support this kind of full immersion cinematic experience!
