X-Men: Days of Future Past

While we're big fans of the work that comes from the collectible arthouse Mondo, there's plenty of other great artists out there whose work is showcased elsewhere on the web. Blurppy is one such destination for some truly stunning artwork, and the site recently held a "Poster Posse" where they had dozens of artists do their own interpretation of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Some of these would make excellent Mondo posters and show some truly amazing skills. We've posted some of our favorites below, many featuring the Sentinels finally getting their due diligence, and you're definitely going to wish these were on your wall.

Here's some selections from Blurppy's Poster Posse for X-Men: Days of Future Past (via SlashFilm):

X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer and written by Matthew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg. The sequel features cast members from the original X-Men franchise like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore along with X-Men: First Class cast members like James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Michael Fassbender. The present day X-Men are in danger from a mistake in the past, and Wolverine is sent back in time to fix it in order to avoid a dark, terrifying future timeline. Fox will release the film on May 23rd.

I think my favorite ones are the navy blue Magneto with the stopwatch, and the mint green one with the purple/pink Magneto helmet. The rest are cool, but those too are my favorite stylistically.

I like how they left out Quick Silver. Probably cause they made him look like a complete bag of douche.

I can't wait to see how they pull off The Sentinels. These are great.

I'm surprised you didn't feature this poster with your top favs? Personally this poster easily beats a couple of them.

Seeing posters like this always makes me slightly sad. Official movie posters have gone from works of art to standardised and generic.Even though the talent is still out there!!
