Need for Speed

We've seen Aaron Paul go to driving school for the forthcoming racing thriller Need for Speed, and while the "Breaking Bad" star will certainly draw in some crowds to the video game adaptation, the real star of the film will be the bad ass, fast cars. A new featurette takes a brief closer look at some of the sleek automobiles that are being used in the film. Unfortunately, some of them (usually the cheaper made duplicates) will be absolutely wrecked in the film, which will be cringeworthy for any motorheads out there. While I'm not into racing or anything, it's hard not to appreciate just how sexy and cool these cars are from the film. Watch it!

Here's the new featurette on the cars from Need for Speed from the film's YouTube channel:

Need for Speed is directed by stuntman turned director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) and written by George Nolfi (The Bourne Ultimatum), John Gatins (Real Steel) and producer George Gatins. Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Tobey tears up the road in a gritty cross-country journey— one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots and Michael Keaton also star in the DreamWorks film arriving March 14th, 2014.

that's actually really impressive. They could have gone all CGI, it is based on a video game after all... but instead, to go with stunt cars... so sick.
