Chris Pratt & Anna Faris

In case you didn't know, The House Bunny and Scary Movie franchise star Anna Faris and Guardians of the Galaxy lead Chris Pratt are married in real life. That bit of information makes their segment in the awful Movie 43 a little weird, but whatever. Now the couple are poised to redeem themselves from that misguided team-up as Deadline reports Fox has picked up a new comedy spec script called Vacation Friends with Pratt and Faris lined up to star. In addition, Hot Tub Time Machine and About Last Night remake director Steve Pink will be at the helm of the comedy hoping to shoot later this year. More below!

The film follows a crazy, partying couple who makes friends with a straight-laced, settled couple while on vacation in Mexico. Despite their differences, they have a great time together. But when they return home with hopes of having more fun with the same couple, it's just not the same, and the friends they made on vacation just won't go away. The source describes the film as being akin to What About Bob? with a couple, so that sounds promising. Pink has done well with R-rated comedy in the past, so hopefully Pratt and Faris on screen together makes for some great comedy chemistry.
