Confirmed: Michelle MacLaren Signed on to Direct 'Wonder Woman'

Briefly: After entering talks to direct Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment's female superhero blockbuster Wonder Woman, we finally have confirmation from THR that Michelle MacLaren has signed on to direct the film. She will also develop the project with the film's writers, who haven't been revealed yet, with Zack Snyder producing. MacLaren was on a shortlist of female directors for the job, which the studio specifically wanted for this particular property for obvious reasons, and we're just glad to see her get this kind of opportunity. Other names in the running included The Babadook director Jennifer Kent and "Homeland" director and co-executive producer Lesli Linka. Stay tuned for more information!

Great!!~ Of course Bigelow would have been the natural choice for fans, but she would have been so hard to tack down. MacLaren will do this character justice.
