That headline works both as a descriptor of the plot and the quality of the film that will come from Disney's animated spin-off sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue. Despite the high quality of animation here, we're still not sold that this film is anything but an hour and a half commercial for toys. Even Transformers: Age of Extinction is at least going for some kind of wow factor when it comes to the action, while this family friendly sequel just feels like it's on auto-pilot (no pun intended). Plus Dane Cook's voice work as the lead plane Dusty seems half-hearted, as if he knows that he's part of Disney's junior varsity team. Watch below!
Here's the new extended trailer for Disney's Planes: Fire & Rescue from Walt Disney Pictures:
Planes: Fire & Rescue, the feature film sequel to Disney's Planes, will be directed by Bobs Gannaway. Comedian Dane Cook returns to voice cropdusting plane Dusty Crophopper, who learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Julie Bowen ("Modern Family") joins the voice cast as spirited super scooper Dipper with some other firefighting characters. Disney sends the film to theaters everywhere in 3D this summer on July 18th.

after cars it's just merchandising and it doesn't matter how good the movies are. They make millions by selling plastic toys... It's just business...

Whoever gets paid to write these things, I salute them. It must be so much hard work and it must be the toughest job ever on Earth. I don't even know how they manage to keep their sanity in check.
